Kornit Digital buys Custom Gateway, accelerates digital transformation

Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit Digital announced the acquisition of Custom Gateway to expand its market-leading capabilities leveraging the company’s cloud based software solutions.

Kornit Digital is an Israel based leading developer and manufacturer of digital textile printing technology Along with End-to-End Management of On-Demand Apparel, this also marks as a crucial move towards expanding partnerships with leading retailers, brands, and suppliers.

Samuel expressed that Kornit aims to transform on-demand digital textile production with exclusive end-to-end solutions, giving them a competitive benefit in the market.

Custom Gateway’s platform will offer Kornit valuable business insights about market dynamics and disruption, complementing Kornit’s Konnect platform for visibility and control of print operations.

Custom Gateway’s robust platform is suitable for both B2B and B2C business models and handles all aspects of on-demand production. The complete process from order placement to shipment is augmented with integrations to current IT environments, data-driven decisions, and business intelligence analytics. This flawlessly connects the front-end to the appropriate back-end and helps customers realize the effectiveness, scalability, and benefits of digitization.

Custom Gateway CEO, Andrew Talbot was pleased about the engagement of two creative cultures. There is no official announcement about the financial details of the deal yet. However, as per sources familiar with the matter, Kornit Digital is paying $17 million for the acquisition of cloud-based software workflow solutions provider. Custom Gateway’s customer base includes leading fashion, sports, and content brands. The company has over 300 active customers globally.
