  • The company acquires major assets and workers of E8 for its Web Services.
  • The terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed so far.
Amazon Incorporation has reportedly acquired major assets and employees of Israel based flash cloud storage start-up E8. This ownership has been claimed to bring the team and expertise from E8 into Amazon’s prevailing Amazon Web Services center in Tel Aviv. Reportedly, the terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. As per sources with the knowledge of the matter, the working employees of the flash storage company have been approached with the job offers from Amazon Web Services which is an integral part of the Amazon’s cloud unit. As per industry experts, Amazon has an extensive hold on the top position in the public cloud infrastructure market, which allows it to stand way ahead of different top-notch cloud companies like Microsoft, Google and others. Amazon Web Services has been claimed to be an important profit provider for the company. Securing its leadership position, AWS has now picked out a company that holds an expertise in hardware which uses flash storage for high performance. The E8 company provides up to ten times the performance of other all-flash arrays continuously with powerful performances and low inactivity, cite sources. As per reports, Amazon had earlier bought an Israeli data center hardware company Annapurna in 2015. The company has continually progressed since then and has manufactured hardware components like chips for ARM computing which are now available on the Amazon Web Services. For the records, Amazon Web Services is a daughter company of Amazon Incorporation which offers on-demand cloud computing platforms to different organizations. Reportedly, in the year 2018, the company controlled over 47.8% of the cloud market. E8 storage is a leader in shared NVMe storage for high performance applications which helps it drive business revenue. Neither party has been available to comment on the acquisition.
