Accenture, a multinational firm providing services in consulting, strategy, digital, operations and technology, reportedly announced that it procured Analytics8, an Australia based analytics and big data consultancy. According to the agreement, Analytics8’s 70 employees from Melbourne and Sydney would join the Applied intelligence division at Accenture.
Founded in 2002, Analytics8 facilitates analytics and data solutions to big enterprise consumers that also comprise of financial services and healthcare firms.
Hedde Schuitemaker, co-founder of Analytics8 stated that the company is thrilled to work with Accenture. Experts in data analysis and data science of Analytics8 would enhance Accenture’s industry knowledge and applied intelligence capabilities, enabling the company to help customers leverage analytics and data to transform their respective businesses.
Accenture is investing big in Australia as this was its third acquisition in the past 12 months in the country. Earlier in 2018 it procured PrimeQ, an Oracle partner, and prior to the latest deal, it acquired BCT Solutions this year in June.
Amit Bansal, managing director of ANZ Accenture Applied Intelligence stated that through this acquisition, the companies would together provide a unique, AI-based approach to assist clients combine analytics, automation and data at a scale.
According to reports, any financial information pertaining to the takeover has not been disclosed yet.
Analytics8 is an Australia based company aimed at helping its clients with information management and large data warehouse projects. From establishment in 2002, the company expanded to U.K, Australia and U.S serving 700 clients throughout several sectors to be more productive with their data. The company focuses on providing companies tools and knowledge to further develop their business through analytics.
