TikTok, SiriusXM, and Pandora have recently joined forces in a bid to roll out innovative content across each of the platforms. This collaboration will enable the companies to offer listeners access to groundbreaking programming, special events, exclusive performances, and some of the emerging and top talent.
SiriusXM will soon launch a full-time music channel, TikTok Radio, featuring the trending songs that redefine the pop culture from the video-sharing social networking service. This channel, sonically synched to the TikTok experience, is expected to be presented by TikTok creators, DJs, and tastemakers and will be available as a streaming channel in vehicles, desktops, SiriusXM, as well as other connected devices. It is also likely to function as the radio version of its ‘For You’ page. In addition, it will feature a range of TikTok creators showcasing trending stories and music and a weekly music countdown of its top trending tracks.
For those uninitiated, Pandora is planning to launch a series of exclusive hosted playlists that features popular TikTok creators, who will be hosting, curating, and promoting the playlists to the fans. In the coming months, the TikTok Tastemakers series is also expected to be kicked off with Bella Poarch & other creators such as Nick Tangorra and Christian Shelton. Additionally, its listeners can tune in to the top TikTok Hits Playlist.
Furthermore, TikTok fans will gain access to the re-airings of Pandora LIVE, an original events series. Most recently, Pandora LIVE Powered by Women that featured Jazmine Sullivan and Gwen Stefani re-aired on TikTok.
According to SiriusXM’s President & Chief Content Officer, Scott Greenstein, the company is excited to partner with TikTok to develop new content on live radio and streaming platforms. Its platforms will deliver a unique opportunity for TikTok creators to engage with listeners and deliver new content experiences.
