Leading global IT, business process, and consulting services company Wipro Ltd. has reportedly received a multi-year contract to collaborate with E.ON in its journey of digital transformation in the financial sector. The company will offer AMS (Application Maintenance & Support Services) for innovative SAP S/4HANA projects.
Under the contract, Wipro will manage the new IT system of E.ON that will bolster over 16,000 users across eight European nations. Wipro will offer E.ON tech & application services for business-critical application portfolios, by using its capability and experience in offering efficient and flexible cost-saving solutions.
E.ON is developing the framework for harmonized processes in the commercial sector and this collaboration will help in laying a strong base for the digital transformation journey of E.ON.
The Country Head of Germany for Wipro Ltd, Michael Seiger, apparently expressed that operational agility and technology convergence are strategic needs for organizations in the energy sector to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
He added that Wipro is excited to be chosen as the strategic partner of E.ON for this crucial milestone in their current relationship. E.ON is navigating the green energy shift in Europe and Wipro seeks to bolster them with advanced technologies to cater to the rapidly changing world of prosumers, said Seiger.
Michael Syring, E.ON Digital Technology’s Head of Corporate Digital Technology, supposedly mentioned that the S4U Program is an important element of its digital transformation. It is the usual platform for highly excellent and automated commercial processes. Syring expressed confidence that Wipro will accompany E.ON as a strategic partner in executing its plan of Digital Transformation efficiently and reliably.
The Vendor & Transformation Manager at E.ON Digital Technology, Frank Wendiggensen, reportedly commented that the deep expertise of Wipro in new tech like SAP S/4 HANA supported by substantial global experience will back E.ON in delivering this important part of its Digital Transformation.
